My name is Atena Pou, I am a textile and costume designer. Trabajo en cine, teatro, circo y danza. I hold a degree in Fashion Design from BAU, College of Arts and Design of Barcelona, and a Masters in Costume and Performance Design from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Cardiff.
I research dynamic printing methods applied to textile design through screen printing. Starting from the professional experience in cinematographic printing, my research aims to generate a discourse on how to apply graphisms on textile in order to create perceptions of movement – by experimenting with the material and analyzing how the volume of the body, the light or the movement interact with the external effects.
