Dr. Jaron Rowan speaker at SYNTHESIS: Digital Fashion Research Network

Dr. Jaron Rowan, Coordinator of BAU’s Research and Doctoral Unit, will participate as a presenter and speaker at SYNTHESIS, a digital fashion research network that seeks to connect academic institutions and industry partners to explore the field of digital fashion.

This network involves academic institutions in cities such as Amsterdam, Birmingham, Leicester, Cardiff and Westminster, as well as industry partners such as Digital Fashion Week New York and the Digital Fashion Group in Brussels.

Building on the success of previous events, the network is preparing to organise SYNTHESIS 3, a third edition that will focus on fashion and Web 3.0 skills from the perspective of speculative futures. The event will include a keynote and three panels, where crucial topics on the evolution of fashion in Web 3.0, the impact of AI on creative processes, the importance of digital literacy, the sustainability of digital fashion and ethical concerns related to datification will be discussed.
