The aim of the Animation Forum is to serve as a space for reflection on the impact of the animation of the pioneers in cinema at the time and their contribution to the language of current animation. The first forum (2016) was organised by GREDITS. A number of researchers in the fields of illustration, animation, comics, and restoration, participated in the event: Jaume Duran, a doctor and professor of Animation and Digital Cinema at the University of Barcelona; Jaume Baguñá, Professor Emeritus of the University of Barcelona and a descendant of animation pioneers; Xavier Cubeles, a professor at the Department of Audiovisual Communications at Pompeu Fabra University; Luciano Berriatúa, freelance restaurateur and collaborator of the Filmoteca Española; Rosa Cardona, curator of the Film Library of Catalonia; Antoni Guiral, a comics distributor; and Maria Pagès, an animation film researcher. The publication also includes an article by Jaume Capdevila, a cartoonist and historian of graphic humour.
