I am Carla Boserman, Art Department coordinator at BAU, College of Arts and Design of Barcelona I hold a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Seville and a Master’s Degree in Communication, Culture and Digital Citizenship (Medialab-Prado-URJC).
My research is grounded in the practice of drawing, and I am interested in methods of graphic research and their potential applications in social research. I also explore material epistemologies and how they intersect with art, design, and the humanities.
I have collaborated on projects involving tactical and participatory urban planning, on a project to recover neighborhood history in La Barceloneta, and on a series of projects related to pastoralism in Extremadura and the Basque Country. I am interested in conducting research in contexts that allow me to engage in dialogue with other communities, practices, and forms of knowledge.
My doctoral thesis is about live and in-context drawing. It proposes an approach to ethnographic drawing from art, the political and the collective.
