I am Carlos Anselmo, artist and researcher, lecturer at LaSalle Barcelona (Universitat Ramon Llull), where I teach in the areas of Digital Arts and Multimedia Engineering. I have a degree in Design from the Universitat Ramon Llull, a Master’s Degree in Art and Design Research from the Universitat Autònoma de Bellaterra and a PhD in Cultural Studies from BAU, with a thesis exploring the effects of the digital medium on musical composition through post-digital musical aesthetics.
My research focuses on the orbit of appropriations, borrowings, inheritances, and memes in musical composition, exploring the processes of musical codification through the transformation of recurrent clichés in pop music.
