My name is Núria Garuz, I am the art director specialized in the creation of creative concepts for graphic communication projects. I hold a BA in Advertising from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), a diploma in Graphic Design from at BAU, College of Arts and Design of Barcelona, and an MA in Interdisciplinary Studies in Design and Communication from Elisava, the Design and Engineering Faculty of Universitat de Vic – Universitat Central de Catalunya (UVic-UCC).
I am currently a doctoral candidate in the Design and Communication program, within the research line of Design and Society, Politics, Art and Education at UVIC-UD-BAU.
My research focuses on the analysis of the processes of production of imaginaries in design, both the aesthetic ones and those with associated values. I analyze how the tools used influence the creation of these hegemonic imaginaries, how they give them meaning and value, and how designers reproduce them.
