I am Sol Prado, PhD student in design and art at BAU, College of Arts and Design of Barcelona.
I have a degree in textile design from the University of Buenos Aires, a Master’s Degree in gender studies and critical theory from the Independent Studies Programme at MACBA-UAB. In addition, I am an artist and a lecturer on the BAU design degree in Textile Manipulation.
I research from my practical experience as a textile designer, analysing capitalist production relations in the global north-south axis, with the aim of proposing other ways of creating textiles in collaboration with communities where sustainable links are established between people, design, and territory.
My thesis is supervised by PhD. María Fernanda Moscoso.
